Prof. Andrew W. H. Ip received his PhD from Loughborough University (U.K.), MBA from Brunel University (U.K.), MSc in Industrial Engineering from Cranfield University (U.K.), and LLB (Hons) from the University of Wolverhampton (U.K.). Dr Ip was awarded in 2015 “Gold Medal with the Congratulations of Jury” and “Thailand Award for Best International Invention” in the 43rd International Exhibition of Geneva, and he was awarded the “Natural Science Award ” in 2013 Ministry of Education Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Output Awards by the Ministry of Education of Mainland China. Dr. Ip is distinguished and visiting professor of various China mainland universities, and Honorary Industrial Fellow of the University of Warwick, Warwick Manufacturing Group. He is Professor Emeritus and adjunct professor of Mechanical Engineering, University of Saskatchewan and senior research fellow of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a chartered engineer, senior member of IEEE and member of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, and members of various professional bodies in mechanical and electrical engineering. Dr Vipul Jain is a Senior Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management atVictoria Business School, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He has also worked as a French Government researcher for the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control at Nancy, France, and was also involved in theEuropean project I* PROMS (Innovative Production Machines and Systems) from UK. Dr Wu excels in his role with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) as a researcher with more than a decade of professional experience. Having held numerous roles with the university previously, his expertise precedes him. Over the years, Dr Wu worked closely with many industrial partners to support and contribute to the formulation of their business strategies, operations improvement and new product development. Dr Wu was the recipient of the Big Data Analysis Award from the China & Hong Kong Enterprise Market Development Association in 2014, the Best Reviewer Award for a journal entitled Internet Research in 2016, and the Outstanding Paper Award of Emerald Literati Network Awards in 2019. Dr Lam is currently the Assistant Professor at Department of Supply Chain and Information Management, and the Director of Big Data Intelligence Centre, at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK).
Dr Lam received her PhD in Logistics Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2014. During the years of research, over 80 international journals and conference papers were published in the areas of supply chain and logistics management, data management in supply chain, green and sustainable transportation, e-commerce logistics, as well as artificial intelligence. Among them, 35 journal papers are SCI/SSCI listed, while some of them were published in well-known journals such as “IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology”, “International Journal of Production Economics”, “International Journal of Production Research”, “Applied Soft Computing”, “Expert Systems with Application”, “Internet Research” and “Industrial Management and Data Systems”. She received the Outstanding Paper Award of Emerald Literati Network Awards for the paper “An intelligent case-based knowledge management system for quality improvement in nursing homes” in 2019. Currently, she serves as the Associate Editor of Expert Systems with Applications, and Editorial Board Member of International Journal of Engineering Business Management.

Aileen received her PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Imperial College London, UK in 2009. Before joining HSU, Dr Aileen Hou was an acting assistant and the acting programme leader of the Information and Communications Technology programme of THEi. Before that, she had been conducting applied research in Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) as a Senior Lead Engineer on 3G, 4G and 5G mobile communication systems. She also had working experience in Shenzhen University, IBM and Alcatel-Lucent with research focuses on V2X, Smart City, 5G, Network Optimization and Machine Learning.

Dr Lam received both BSc and MPhil in Mathematical Science from the Department of Mathematics at the Hong Kong Baptist University. Then, he went to City University of Hong Kong to peruse his PhD degree. Upon his completion of PhD degree, he joined Griffith University (Brisbane, Australia) as a researcher for two years. Dr Lam has strong research skills and he is the first author of 10 referred journals and 14 international conference papers including two of the publications in IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging (Rank No. 3 among all IEEE Transactions journals; Tier A* journal).

Dr HO To Sum, George received his PhD in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) in 2007. During the years of research, Dr Ho has published over 120 international journals and conference papers in well-known journals such as “International Journal of Production Economics”, “Decision Support Systems”, “Industrial Management and Data Systems”, “International Journal of Production Research”, and “Expert Systems with Application”; more than 70 of them are SCI/SSCI listed.
