GEORGE A. TSIHRINTZIS received the Diploma of Electrical Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (with honors) and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He is currently a Professor in The University of Piraeus, Greece and Head of its Department of Informatics. From 2008 to 2016, he also served as the Director of the Graduate Program of Study in “Advanced Computing and Informatics Systems” of the Department. His current research interests include Knowledge- based/Intelligent Software Engineering, Software Personalization, Information Retrieval from Databases, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Decision Theory, and Statistical Signal Processing and their applications in Multimedia Interactive Services, User Modeling, Knowledge-based Software Systems, Human-Computer Interaction and Information Retrieval. He has authored or co-authored over 300 research publications in these areas, which have appeared in international journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings, and has served as the principal investigator or co-investigator in several R&D projects. He has supervised 10 doctoral students who have received their doctoral degrees and is currently supervising an additional 5 students.

Dr. Margarita N. Favorskaya is a Professor andHead of Department of Informatics and Computer Techniques at Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology., Russian Federation. Professor Favorskaya is a member of KES organizationsince 2010, the IPC member and the Chair of invitedsessions of over 30 international conferences. She serves as areviewer in international journals (Neurocomputing,Knowledge Engineering and Soft Data Paradigms, PatternRecognition Letters, Engineering Applications of ArtificialIntelligence), an associate editor of Intelligent DecisionTechnologies Journal, International Journal of Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Engineering Systems, International Journal of Reasoning-based Intelligent Systems, a Honorary Editor of the International Journal of Knowledge Engineering and Soft Data Paradigms, the Reviewer, Guest Editor, and Book Editor (Springer). She is the author or the co-author of 200 publications and 20 educational manuals in computerscience. She co-authored/co-edited around 20 books/conference proceedings for Springer in the last 10 years.She supervised nine Ph.D. candidates and presentlysupervising four Ph.D. students.Her main research interests are digital image andvideos processing, remote sensing, pattern recognition,fractal image processing, artificial intelligence, andinformation technologies.

Prof. Dr. Srikanta Patnaik is a Director of Interscience Institute of Management & Technology,  Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He has received his Ph. D. (Engineering) on Computational Intelligence from Jadavpur University, India in 1999 and supervised 12 Ph. D. theses and more than 30 M. Tech theses in the area of Machine Intelligence, Soft Computing Applications and Re-Engineering. Dr. Patnaik has published more than 60 research papers in international journals and conference proceedings. He is author of 2 text books and edited 12 books and few invited book chapters, published by leading international publisher like Springer-Verlag, Kluwer Academic, etc.. Dr. Patnaik was the Principal Investigator of TAPTEC project “Building Cognition for Intelligent Robot” sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and Major Research Project “Machine Learning and Perception using Cognition Methods” sponsored by University Grant Commission. He is the Editors-in-Chief of International Journal of Information and Communication Technology and International Journal of Computational Vision and Robotics published from Inderscience Publishing House, England and also Editors-in-chief of Book Series on “Modeling and Optimization in Science and Technology” published from Springer, Germany.

Hakim Bendjenna is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Tebessa University-Algeria, where he has been since 2004. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Constantine University, Algeria and Toulouse University, France in 2013. His research interests lie in the general field of Information systems and image processing with special focuses on security issues. He has led numerous groundbreaking research projects in these areas. He has taught primarily introductory programming courses and courses in system engineering for over ten years. He also frequently serves as a program committee member for various international conferences and workshops. He is a chair of several conferences. He is the head of LAMIS laboratory at the University of LaarbiTbessi- Tebessa, Algeria.

Prof. Dr. Junsheng Shi

Prof. Junsheng Shi is a professor in the School of Physics and Electronic Information, Yunnan Normal University, Kunming, China and also member of China Illuminating Engineering Society-Image Technology Specialized Committee. Since 2001, he has been a Ph.D. in School of Optics and Photonics, Beijing Institute of Technology. He in charge of Yunnan Province key disciplines "Optical Engineering" and leader for Technology innovation team in color and optical imaging technology of Colleges and universities in Yunnan. He is a member of the Professional Committee of China Optical Technology Optical Society, Chinese Society of Image and Graphics Technical Committee stereoscopic image, foreign journals "Optical Engineering", "Journal of Display Technology" and the present domestic main disciplines journal "Acta Optica Sinica", "Chinese Optics Letters","Acta PhotonicaSinica" and other reviewers. In 2004 and 2008, respectively, awards of scientific and technological progress and natural science in Yunnan Province. Three projects of the National Natural Science Fund and two projects of the Yunnan Natural Science Fund have been completed. In past five years, the two major projects in Yunnan Province Department of Education were presided over, more than 50 papers have been published, and fifteen invention patents have been applied for, and authorized two. His research interests include color appearance models, the color management systems, characteristics of the human visual system and application for color imaging and digital image processing.

Prof. Roumen Kountchev, Ph.D., D. Sc. is a professor at the Faculty of Telecommunications, Department of Radio Communications and Video Technologies at the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria. His scientific areas of interest are: digital signal and image processing, image compression, multimedia watermarking, video communications, pattern recognition and neural networks. Prof. Kountchev has 341 papers published in magazines and conference proceedings (71 international); 15 books; 46 book chapters; 20 patents (3 international). He had been principle investigator of 38 research projects (6 international).At present he is a member of Euro Mediterranean Academy of Arts and Sciences (EMAAS) and President of Bulgarian Association for Pattern Recognition (member of Intern. Association for Pattern Recognition). Editorial board member of: Intern. Journal of Reasoning-based Intelligent Systems; Intern. He is the Associate Dean of the College of Information Science and Technology and a member of the International Association for Biostatistics & International Statistics Association. Professor Xiao is the executive director of the Biological Mathematical Society & Mathematical Society of Fujian Province. He has been awarded The Distinguished Teacher of Higher Education in Fujian Province. His expertise mainly focuses on the studies of complex systems modeling and optimal control. He has published 124 articles in important journals and 23 academic works and textbooks. He was awarded numerous nationwide and international prizes in research and teaching, including 69 research projects that have won national, provincial, and college awards (33-first awards, 13-second awards, 10-third awards, and 13-excellence awards).

He is having 30 years of rich experience as Head of IT invariousreputedMNCs both in India & abroad. Professor Sarangi was Head of IT of Hindalco Industries, a Aditya Birla Group company located at Hirakud, Odisha for both its Smelter & Power plant and then relocated to Malaysia as Head of IT for its Palm Oil Edible Oil and Oleo Chemical division. Subsequently professor Sarangi moved to Singapore as Head of Business Information System of Palm Oil Business of RGE Pte Ltd Singapore. Professor Sarangi has vast experience mainly focused on IT Strategy, IT Project Management, IT Planning & Governance, IT Infrastructure Management, Business Transformation, Change Management, People Management, IT Policy & Security, Vendor Management, ERP implementation etc. He has undergone various training& seminars from reputed institute like NTU-Singapore, IIM-Kolkata, NITIE-Mumbai, Human Synergistic International- Bangalore,NityoInfotech-Singapore.Currently Professor Sarangi is continuing his PhD from Birla Global University (BGU), Bhubaneswar, and Odisha. From 2009-2012, Dr. Yonghang Tai studied in Yunnan Normal University and got his bachelor’s degree. He has received his Ph. D on Computer Science from Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. He has hosted 4 Fund projects including Deakin University Postgraduate Research Full Scholarship, Yunnan Education Commission, Yunnan Natural Science Foundation, and Yunnan Education Commission. He has published more than 30 papers, 5 of which have been indexed by SCI. He is the Co-Editor of International Journal of Telemedicine and Clinical Practices and Machine learning and data analytics. His research interests include VR/AR/MR in surgical simulation, Physic-based rendering, Medial image processing.

Dr. Roumiana Kountcheva

Dr. Kountcheva has completed her M.Sc. in Computer Science in 1973 from Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria and Ph.D. in 1977;she joined as a Senior Researcher TIE in 1992. Presently, Dr. Kountcheva is working as the Vice president of TK Engineering, Sofia. Her main scientific interests: Image processing, Image compression and digital watermarking, Image tensor representation, CNCs, Programmable controllers. Her total number of publicationsincludes176 (30 Journal papers, 18 Book chapters). She has delivered plenary speeches at international scientific conferences and scientific events: 15. Also Dr. Kountcheva has handled about 45 scientific research projects (PI and Co-PI). Again she has filed 5 Patents(2 USA and 3 EU). Jacek Lukasz Wilk-Jakubowski is an Associate Professor at the Kielce University of Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatic Control and Computer Science,Department of Information Systems. He was awarded the doctor of technicalscience degree (with the specialization in ICT, teleinformatics, data transmission and signal processing) and doctor of science (habilitation) degree in the informatics and computer science discipline. He is the author of several inventions that have been granted protection by the Patent Office, participant of many national and international conferences and projects, and laureate of several awards, among others for patents. He is the author more than 60 scientific publications (including 5 monographs, 5 chapters in monographs, as well as more than 50 papers).
